PAUL PRIVITERA

The former Malta Captain, Paul Privitera, signed for Sliema in 2010.
Pawlu, as he is commonly known, joined from Sirens. He started playing waterpolo at the age of 9 years with Marsascala and joined Sirens ASC at the age of 18 with whom he won 1 league title in 2000 and 3 Knock-Outs in 1999, 2000 and 2001. He rejoined Marsascala in 2003 and then again returned to Sirens in 2006 till the 2009 season. He was twice voted as Malta's player of the year in 1999 and 2006.
Privitera was capable in defence as well as attack and brought with him some vital experience in the absence of Jonathan Valletta and former Club Captain, Josie Cachia, who had both retired at the end of the 2009 season.
Paul has been appointed Assistant First Team Coach during 2013 and will be looking forward to his new role.
