Sliema Frank Salt Real Estate officially unveiled Kai Dowling during a press conference this week, having captured the young talented player from San Giljan on the eve of water polo Summer league.
President, Dr Frank Testa, was delighted to welcome the player to the Club, stating that this was a signing both for the future as well as the present. ‘Any player you bring in you hope will improve the quality you already have. In Kai we have signed a player who will surely complement well our talented upcoming youth players in forming a strong team for the future, however he is also a player whom we hope will make us more competitive in the short-term’.
The player also expressed his satisfaction on having joined the most decorated club in Maltese water polo and is confident that he can achieve all his ambitions with his new team mates. ‘It is a proud moment for me to join such a big club and I hope to repay the committee for the faith they have shown in me, by helping the team challenge as from the upcoming season’.
Dowling signed a 6-year contract with his new club, and follows in the footsteps of his father Kurt, who had formed part of the victorious Sliema sides in the late 90s.
